This focused 5-day course is designed exclusively for law enforcement professionals preparing to transition into supervisory roles, particularly corporals and sergeants. It provides a practical foundation in leadership, communication, personnel management, and ethical decision-making—essential skills for anyone stepping into the responsibilities of frontline supervision.
The course delivers structured training in supervisory leadership principles, shift-level command responsibilities, documentation and accountability, and managing officer conduct and morale. Students will learn how to lead peers, resolve workplace conflict, and support department goals while maintaining professional standards.
Whether newly promoted or preparing for advancement, this course ensures participants are equipped with the mindset, tools, and strategies to lead confidently and effectively at the first-line supervisory level.
Students will:
Understand the transition from officer to supervisor and how to lead former peers
